Critics Consensus

The Sadness lives up to its title with an unstintingly grim -- and overall effective -- slice of dystopian horror.

If you think you can handle gory movies, it will make you question your resolve. And if you have a sensitive gag reflex, the film will test it. Rated: 3/4 Jun 29, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

sophisticated h THIS IS MY FAVORIT MOVIE! absolutely amazing it made my sister cry AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 🥰👍 Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review Korra N This film is nasty, vicious, and wholly disturbing, but at the same time, it's a pretty hollow and surface-level movie too. I never once felt anything other than disgust and disbelief at the horrors depicted, and so when it ended, I didn't care. It was gross and vomit-inducing (I did throw up), but that's it. It's a very empty experience, unless you're into just being grossed out. It puts the subgenre of "torture p*rn" to shame. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Audience Member Was forced to watch this with my friends last night, this was the most wildest movie i've ever watched, almost puked at some of the scenes.. had a breakdown after.. so yeah i recommend this movie!! :))) Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review martin m Do NOT let anyone fool you into thinking this movie has anything remotely resembling a good plot or take on zombies, if you can even call them that in this movie.I initially went in with high hopes after reading some reviews saying it’s a good zombie movie with a good plot, when its literally the most generic zombie story you could ever ask for besides a chunk of sexual violence and rape’y behavior thrown into the mix. I was aware it’s considered a gore movie and I’m completely fine with movies like that, but I do not think this movie executed that style well and it felt all in all completely lacking in A LOT of ways. Dont waste your time watching this, I regret giving it an hour of my life. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Chan D This is not your ordinary zombie outbreak! If you are one of the hardcore gore fans, then this movie is right for you.Disclaimer: Very disturbing. Do not watch if you are experiencing an unstable mental condition. In this film, they depict zombies not as the living dead, but as humans whose humanity has died. Yes, you can interact with them! Literally interact, like talking and asking what they feel and think. You don't even need to ask—they will simply explain it to you! But don't forget the physical interaction they "need." They may run at you and smash your face. Well, I'm not sure you will still be alive to hear the answer if you ask them. These are the words I feel best describe this film. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Miguel M A nadie engañas, el director de esta pelicula tiene sus fetiches extraños con la sangre.
